Let Me Share My Crucible Story

It’s so hard for me to share this, but it’s time to go on record about my health journey.

The person that I was didn’t feel comfortable or confident in my own skin. It’s terrible to admit, but I hated the way I looked and I had horribly high Cholesterol.  I was not in a good place physically, mentally, or spiritually.

Then I decided to face my crucible and have a champion mindset. It took a lot of work, but now I feel good in my own skin, my cholesterol is healthy, and I don’t wear baggy clothes to hide my body. There is a way for you to have the same transformation.

I feel so privileged to be able to help people just like you, discover how beautiful they are, from the inside out.

Crucible Champions, Season 2, is starting with an interview with Vernon Dub Davis, Certified Health Coach extradanaire, one of my most favorite friends, as we discuss "Mind, Body, Spiritual Alignment for Whole Health." This is super close to my heart, as we filed bankruptcy in 1984 and were flat broke two years into our marriage with a brand new baby girl that was the only blessing from that year! My husband & I followed God's promptings, and what turned out to feel like a catastrophe ended up being a total God Send and sent us professionally on to a trajectory of financial success with me providing our house payment for our first home that we were able to buy and my husband, Kevin, started a career in transportation he began at the age off 16 years old. We learned to listen to God and obey His promptings. God blessed us as we did reap what we sowed, served our community and church, and we both moved up the ladder.

Fast Forward to 2018, I found myself in a health crisis with sky high lipid panel, and 32 lbs over-weight, miserable and hating myself. I jumped on a fantastic program and began a new career at age 58 of being a Health Coach. We learned how to dream again and did the "Dream Napkin Story" that was taught to us by Dan & Megan Valentine, our amazing mentors. We went on a date, had a cocktail, and wrote on a paper napkin our dreams that seemed so bodacious, that they would never come true. And we kept the napkin but didn't really look at it until a year later when we purchased a home for over a million dollars and were so incredibly humbled. God continued to bless our hearts to serve others and give generously to the people and organizations that He put on our hearts.

Vernon Davis, has such a powerful story (find him on Ep. 11, Season 1) and we both magnetically found each other in our businesses. We have both gotten our lives in alignment physically, mentally, and spiritually. May you be blessed by this episode to sow seeds of goodness, dream big, and walk through those doors that God opens for you!
